No matter what board you choose they're not the easiest thing to carry; but the combination of thermoformed shoulder straps, hip and back padding, plus a HDPE frame sheet and thoracic v-stays provide comfortable support that makes long climbs comfortable. For climbs that are rewarded with an untracked run at the end, the Arc'teryx Silo 30 Backpack includes two ice axe loops and Velcro axe keepers.
